Connections of King`s Road are still undecided on when this season`s Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup winner will have his next race.
The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained gelding - one of the market leaders for the Coral Eurobet Welsh National on December 27th - has been entered in the Grade Two Tommy Whittle Chase at Haydock Park on Saturday.
King`s Road was originally thought likely to head straight for the Chepstow marathon.
However, the prospect of his favoured testing ground at the Merseyside track and the horse`s current wellbeing could tempt Twiston-Davies to run King`s Road at the weekend.
'There are no plans for King`s Road at the moment,' the Cheltenham trainer said this morning.
Twiston-Davies also confirmed Mister Morose on course for the Bonusprint Bula Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.
